I’m so excited to share this super adorable country church wedding with you! Janet and Greg were married in a small church near Walcott, ND. (No idea where that is?! You’re not alone). It’s about 20 minutes South of Fargo, down a gravel road, and tucked around a little corner. But it was adorable! It had an old country church feel, but some of the church had been recently remodeled.
If you remember Janet and Greg, they did a fabulous NDSU themed engagement session since that was where they met. They were both members of the Gold Star Marching Band. So of course their wedding had lots of instruments played by their incredibly talented musical friends as well. When I first met them and they told me that’s how they met I immediately said ‘Hey! I was in the Gold Star Marching Band when I went to NDSU too…. for a week.’ What can I say.
Also, Greg is Canadian, so there were lots of Canada jokes. (Told in love of course). You’ll see some Canada theme sprinkled into their day as well. Thank you both for letting us celebrate your day with you! We had so much fun and didn’t want to leave!
Janet painted her bridesmaids’ initials on the hangers, what a cute idea! (Pinterest for the win!)
Are you kidding me with these shoes?! Janet I heart you!
Janet was the happiest bride I’ve ever seen. A smile never left her face and there was always giggling happening! While they were getting ready it started to DOWNPOUR but she just rolled with it!
First look sequence!
If you look close you can see the rain behind them. We did the first look under the overhang of the church, and no one got wet! (Well except Patrick, but you’ll see that later….)
These are my FAVORITES.

The rain stopped so we planned to venture out on the pavement and gravel. Janet said “Nope I’m good! Let’s go in the grass.”
We added in the umbrella just for fun. I love the colors!
Then I found this tree. I’m obsessed! Can I shoot here everyday?!
Ceremony time! Their talented friends provided the music:
One of my favorite moments, the bride before she walks down the aisle with her dad. Captured by Patrick:
I think they were laughing for half of the ceremony. They are so adorable!
Officially Mr. and Mrs!
I think I could have an album of just “Janet’s facial expressions.” You’re adorable J!
Have I mentioned how much I love when we sneak out of the reception for some sunset photos?! These are my favorite! What you don’t see is that they became an all you can eat buffet for 1,000 mosquitos. But they were such troopers!! I hope these images are worth the bug bites guys! (And all the ones in your veil Janet!)
Back to the dance!
Some Behind the scenes images:
1. Patrick staying (mostly) dry by the help of an awesome personal attendant! I told her to save the camera first. (Sorry Patrick!)
