Chelsey and Tyler, where do I even begin? I have never seen a groom look at his bride the way that Tyler looks at Chelsey. From the first look all the way to the reception and dance, his eyes barely left his bride, and his expressions and reactions were the best. They separately told me that they had surprises for the other on their wedding day so I would be prepared for photos. Not only did they both have surprise events weaved into their wedding day, they were almost the same thing! (More on that later in the post!) Thank you both for inviting me to be witness to the beautiful love story the two of you have, and not only me but my family as well. I truly felt like we were there as part of the family celebrating with you, so thank you!
When I met Chelsey, she was still in high school, we were neighbors. My husband and I quickly became friends with her and her mom. They were the ones that would stop over and bring you baked goodies and chat. 🙂 The wedding morning, her mom said to me: “Could you ever imagined that this could ever happen? That you would be photographing Chelsey’s wedding?” Never! I wasn’t even a photographer at that time. It’s amazing how things work out isn’t it?! All the more reason why I was so excited to be part of their day.
This wedding has some amazing details (you all know my love for photographing details) and so many amazing moments I could barely pair them down. So don’t say I didn’t warn you that it was a long post! First off, getting ready details:
Bling bling!! (Also notice that Tyler’s ring has Chelsey’s fingerprint in it. How cool is that?!)
Chelsey’s gift to her mother:
She had the most amazing team of bridesmaids!
And meanwhile, Tyler is preparing for their first look:
We did the first look on the bridge of Oxbow Country Club, what a beautiful background!
My trusty second photographer’s view:
Once she walked up they went back to back and exchanged and read letters. I could barely see what I was photographing by the end of them!
His face, one of my favorite groom reactions ever!
These flowers, stunning! Bluebarn Floral, you’ve outdone yourselves!
Can I just say how happy I am for this magically cloudy day?! Beautiful soft light all around!
So many beautiful details in this wedding!
Tyler’s reaction when the song Chelsey is walking down to her singing. She surprised him and did a recording of her singing while she walked down the aisle.
I love when the officiant tells them to face and look at their friends and family, it gives me a great angle to see their faces, and I can get moments like this:
They had friends and family come and lay hands on them to pray. What a beautiful moment!
Then they went into a worship service, I loved this part!
Announcing the Mr. and Mrs.! How goreous is Oxbow’s new country club? I may have gotten lost trying to find it, but once I did, wow was I blown away!
The girls showing off one of the signature drinks:
There was lip syncing, and it was awesome!
I just love the girls watching the cake feeding!
Time for Tyler’s surprise (remember I told you I’d get back to that?!) He wrote and sang a song to Chelsey. It was PERFECTION. (And how cute is it that they both sang for their secret gifts?!)
We had a cloudy day all day, but we got this amazing sunset and it was so worth sneaking out of the reception for 10 minutes to capture these!
Time for the first dances!
After Tyler and Chelsey danced, they did a tribute video of Chelsey’s father who passed away. There was lots of video of her as a little girl, it was so sweet!
Which led into the Mother/Daughter dance.
And Tyler got to dance with his mother as well:
Then it was a dance off between the bridesmaids and the groomsmen: When the guys started to Riverdance, oh my gosh!!! 😂
Chelsey, Tyler, and families, THANK YOU for including me in such a beautiful day! I’m so glad I got to be there!
